Our History

Bottar Leone, PLLC, was co-founded in 1983 by Anthony S. Bottar and John C. Cherundolo, who practiced for a majority of the next fifteen years as Cherundolo & Bottar, PC.  In 1997, Edward S. Leone became a partner, the same year that the Firm obtained a $47,700,000.00 verdict in a severe personal injury and product liability case against a group of defendants, including Douglas Dynamics, Inc. (using the Syracuse War Memorial at onCenter to present part of its case at trial), which resulted in the largest New York State jury verdict for 1997, and one of the largest jury verdicts in New York State history.

Having obtained excellent recoveries for its clients over the years, the Firm's practice and reputation is well-known, and has earned the Firm and/or its attorneys recognition in/as:

Unlike many law firms, Bottar Leone, PLLC, chose to limit the scope of its legal practice in order to provide exceptional service to clients with very specific problems, including cases arising out of: medical malpractice, hospital errors, failure(s) to diagnose, surgical errors, birth injury and birth trauma, construction accidents, industrial and workplace accidents, defective products and dangerous medications, car accidents, tractor trailer accidents and trucking accidents, bus accidents, SUV accidents, train accidents, boating and watersport accidents, plane accidents, bridge, roadway and structure failures, premises liability and toxic torts.  We adopted this approach to the law because we believe that our clients' cases are best prosecuted by a lawyer that knows a lot about a little, rather than a little about a lot.
